Indian Agriculture Sector is delivering a bumper harvest resulting in broad-based gains across cereals, pulses, oilseeds, millets, and commercial crops especially in Sugarcane output. The Country’s total foodgrains production has also risen to 358 million tonnes in 2024-25. These gains are mainly attributed to Tractor-driven farm machinery especially in the small farm holdings. The signal here is clear to shift the cumbersome opaque processes to Smart Farming Systems wherein intermediaries are cut out to empower the farmers, requisite infrastructures developed to facilitate farming operations, a comprehensive digital transformation platform introduced to speed up operational efficiency in farm cultivation, State Advisory Prices (SAP) revised helping farmers to get Remunerative Support Price for their farm produce increasing thereby their income, 40 to 80% subsidies provided to registered farmers in tractor and tractor-driven farm equipment to promote farm mechanizatio and over-all a committed Government dedicated to th welfare of farmers. These interventions apparently show that Indian Farming Systems are moving ahead towards achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. And, keeping with the changing times, Agriculture continues to receive the support of dedicated & committed Government under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
