The academic programs currently going-on in the Discipline of Extension Education are open-ended propositions. The pass-outs of Master’s and Doctoral degree are neither demand-driven nor employment-oriented. Their training does not suit to the Corporate Employers and degree holders do not fit into the Employers’ packages. Hence, the pendulum exists. In order to solve this doldrum, a need-based employment-oriented post-graduate education program in Extension Management is proposed into the following 10 streams:

Organization required to award the MEM degree is named as “INDIA INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF EXTENSION MANAGEMENT” to be set up under the aegis of “Extension Systems Foundation International”. While ESFI shall be the Implementing Agency, other Partners in PPP Mode shall come from three different Domains.

First, Public Academics like Agricultural Universities under whose nomenclature the degree shall be awarded. Second, Private Agencies like Corporate Houses which are manufacturing above 10 Products as their Brand. Third, International Bodies like World Bank, IFAD, USAID, and Foreign Universities.

Further modalities of this Educational Program shall be worked out in due course of time. Meanwhile, suggestions are invited.
